Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 September 2026
This policy explains what TapTap (“the game”, “we”) collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. You can play without creating an account.
What we collect
- Account details — only if you create an account: your username, email address and password. Passwords are stored as a secure one-way hash, never in plain text.
- Game data — your scores, the level each run reached, games played and achievements, so we can show leaderboards and your progress.
- Technical data — the IP address used when a score is submitted, to detect cheating and protect the service.
- Advertising data — the game offers optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may process your device’s advertising identifier, IP address and ad interactions to show and measure ads. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
How we use it
- To run your account, leaderboards and achievements.
- To keep scores fair and the service secure.
- To send password-reset emails you ask for.
- To show a rewarded ad when you choose to watch one for extra time.
Consent and tracking
If you are in the EEA, the UK or another region that requires it, the game asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy Options. On iPhone, iOS asks for your permission before any tracking happens, and you can change it in the iOS Settings app.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with providers that run the service for us: hosting (Amazon Web Services), email delivery (Resend) and advertising (Google AdMob). Your username and scores are visible to other players on the public leaderboards.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the game (Settings → Delete Account) or on our account deletion page. Deletion is immediate and permanently removes your account, scores, achievements and related security records. Progress you make as a guest stays only on your device.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to how it is used. Contact us to make a request.
